Bringing Comfort, Dignity & Encouragement
The Glen Adnam Cancer Comfort Basket Foundation is a Saskatchewan-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals and families during some of the most difficult moments of a cancer journey. Since beginning our work, we have already prepared 48 comfort baskets, with a goal of reaching 100 baskets by the end of 2026. As our organization grows, our goal is to create a sustainable Saskatchewan-wide comfort program that can reach more cancer patients, caregivers and families while bringing communities together through kindness, volunteerism and meaningful support.
Each basket is thoughtfully assembled with items such as blankets, journals, activity books, card games, fuzzy socks, neck pillows, unscented personal-care products, ginger candies and other comfort items. Our baskets are designed to provide both practical support and a reminder that the recipient’s community is thinking of them. We are also exploring the future development of caregiver-specific baskets to better support those who walk alongside their loved ones through treatment.
We are developing relationships with hospitals, cancer support organizations and community partners throughout southeast Saskatchewan and Regina, with plans to expand our reach across the province. We are also building partnerships with businesses, volunteers and community organizations to support basket sponsorships, donation drives, community packing events and future fundraising initiatives.
Our Story
Built on Love, Loss & Purpose
The Glen Adnam Cancer Comfort Basket Foundation was born from heartbreak and love. When Kennedy Tessier watched her father Glen fight cancer with courage and grace, she saw firsthand how isolating and overwhelming a diagnosis can be — not just for the patient, but for the whole family. She also saw how much one kind gesture, one thoughtful package, one sign of “you’re not alone” could mean on the hardest days.
Glen passed away, but his spirit didn’t. This foundation is Kennedy’s way of carrying his warmth forward — one comfort basket at a time.

We serve cancer warriors at every stage of their journey — from newly diagnosed to long-term treatment, palliative care, and beyond. No one should face this road feeling forgotten.
